The challenge

Abacus Consulting runs multiple active projects simultaneously, each with its own compute, storage and connectivity requirements. Relying on shared cloud infrastructure meant dealing with noisy neighbours, unpredictable latency and opaque billing — problems that become visible exactly when a project is under pressure.

They needed a technology partner who could provide dedicated, predictable hardware and advise on architecture decisions from a position of real operational experience.

The solution

AP Interactive provisioned dedicated bare-metal servers from its own AS215691 network in Madrid — hardware under our direct control, with no virtualisation layer between the application and the metal. Alongside the hardware, we provided hands-on consulting: server selection, OS hardening, network configuration and ongoing optimisation as project workloads evolved.

Having a single point of contact for both infrastructure and technical advice meant Abacus could move faster and escalate directly to the people who built and operate the network.
