About this tool
DNS Lookup is a free tool to check the DNS records of any domain (A, AAAA, MX, TXT, NS, CNAME, SOA) and its DNSSEC status. Queries run entirely in your browser against the public DoH resolvers of Cloudflare and Google, so nothing passes through our servers.
- Compare Cloudflare and Google answers to see whether a DNS change has already propagated.
- Inspect MX and TXT records (SPF, DKIM, verifications) when setting up email or domains.
- See at a glance whether the domain has DNSSEC signed and enabled.
Frequently asked questions
What is DNS propagation and how long does it take?
It is the time resolvers worldwide need to reflect a DNS change. It depends on the record TTL and usually ranges from a few minutes to 24-48 hours. Here we compare two large resolvers as a quick indicator, not a worldwide geographic measurement.
Do you query my domains on your servers?
No. The tool runs fully in your browser against Cloudflare and Google DNS-over-HTTPS endpoints. We do not log or store your lookups.
What does it mean for a domain to have DNSSEC?
DNSSEC cryptographically signs DNS answers to prevent tampering. If it shows as active, the domain is protected against cache poisoning and spoofed responses.
