About this tool
Global Check runs ping, HTTP, DNS, traceroute and MTR tests toward your target from nodes around the world, using the Globalping probe network. That way you see how your service behaves from different regions, not just from your own connection.
- Measure latency and availability from several continents at once.
- Diagnose whether an issue is local, carrier-side or global.
- Compare the route (traceroute/MTR) from different locations.
Frequently asked questions
Why measure from several countries?
Because a service can be perfect from your country and terrible from another due to routing or a misconfigured CDN. Measuring from several regions reveals problems a single local test cannot see.
What is the difference between traceroute and MTR?
Traceroute shows the hops to the destination once; MTR combines traceroute and ping continuously, so it reveals per-hop packet loss and latency far more reliably.
